SPS Installs New Freezer to Enhance Child Nutrition Program

Thanks to your support in passing the April 2024 bond, we are excited to announce the installation of a brand-new freezer for our Child Nutrition program.

This upgrade allows us to purchase food in bulk, making our operations more cost-efficient and supporting long-term menu planning. Most importantly, it ensures our students continue receiving well-prepared, nutritious meals every day.

Shawnee Middle School Student Selected for Prestigious All-State Choir

SMS is proud to announce that 8th grader Grace Clemmons has been selected for the Junior High All-State Treble Choir, an honor she has achieved for the second consecutive year.

Last month, students from SMS auditioned alongside hundreds of middle schoolers from across Oklahoma for the highly competitive OkCDA All-State Junior High Choir. Grace was one of only 150 students chosen to participate in the All-State Treble Choir, which will perform next month in Oklahoma City.

The Junior High All-State Treble Choir is a prestigious ensemble that brings together the top middle school vocalists from across the state, providing students with a chance to perform at a high level and showcase their talents.
